a top day. tre bien.

Nothing screams "Paris!" like a visit to Notre Dame. The cathedral is enormous, placed on a prominent spot on a small island in the middle of the Seine. The famous exterior can be admired by the hundreds of tourists outside, taking pictures, often posing like a hunchback. The cathedral is way older than Victor Hugo's novel, which re-popularized the cathedral. But, today, we studied the exterior as well as the interior, which is incredibly crowded and ever so impressive in its Gothic style.

Stunning.
But, this cathedral was nothing to our next stop, which was Saint Chapelle, a small church only five minutes' walk from Notre Dame. Saint Chapelle absolutely blew my mind. I actually got choked up because I was so overwhelmed.
Not stained-glass windows...stained-glass walls. Incredible.

And to add to the awesomeness, we had a group fondue dinner. These people rock my world.

France rocks.
